Mon 2 Feb 2009: 3M Appoints Atlas Gentech as New National Distributor

As from February 1st 2009 3M New Zealand Ltd has appointed Atlas Gentech – a well known communications products distributor in the New Zealand marketplace, as master distributor for it’s structured cabling and associated products.

3Ms national Sales and Marketing manager June Tienstra said that 3M has a development pathway for structured cable product in New Zealand and that Atlas Gentech provided the dealer interface that would significantly improve 3Ms cabling market share within New Zealand.

The major electrical wholesales would still be serviced through Ecco New Zealand as a sub distributor and Mr Andrew Cordes from Ecco said they were looking forward to working with Atlas Gentech to expand the market.

Atlas Gentech has appointed Mr Rhys Clare as Category Manager who will work to expand 3Ms market share within the installer and specifier segments. In typical salesman’s mode Rhys’s comment on the appointment was to say “ My cell number is 0274499880, Call me for Cable.”
